The Federated Sports + Gaming league has not even held its first invitational poker tournament, but they've already snapped up one of the most exciting young ventures in the industry. The Annie Duke and Jeffrey Pollack fronted FS+G have just announced their purchase of the Heartland Poker Tour.

HPT has proved extremely popular with recreational players across America, thanks to their ethos of ‘Real People, Unreal Money.’ By providing low buy-in televised tournaments, founders Todd Anderson and Greg Land have developed a serious following among amateur players. Most of whom are restricted to the carbon poker download and its ilk for online play. The tour is midway through filming its 7th season, the contents of which will be broadcast to more than 100 million screens around the world.
