If you pay close attention to the big download free poker sites, you might have heard of Jose Macedo and the trouble he has had with his poker playing peers. His reputation has been quickly destroyed, as well as those of his backers, Haseeb "DogIsHead" Qureshi and Daniel "Jungleman" Cates.

Macedo said that he would pay back the $30k he scammed from the players that fell into his scheme. On the other hand Lock Poker, a room that offers a myriad of poker bonuses, made public that they will pursue legal action against the fallen superstar.

Before the scandal unfolded, Macedo had become a Lock Poker pro. This position was taken away after the accusations and admission of guilt that followed, however. Most observers assumed this would be the relative end of the story as Macedo would most likely disappear after paying back his victims.

A poker forum thread revealed that Lock Poker was intending to sue Macedo, however. This was announced by cardroom manager Erik Lynch. Lynch stated that details on the lawsuit would be released in the future.

There has been much speculation as to what the site could be suing for. Some people think that he will be taken to court for his cheating during the Lock Challenge. This Challenge had prizes for the people that won the most money in a given time period on Lock Poker.

With the breaking of Macedo's scandal, it was discovered that Qureshi chip dumped $100,000 to Macedo during the challenge. It was discovered that Cates also played under Macedo's screen name during the challenge. This information caused the site to disqualify Macedo.
