PokerStars Bonus
The PokerStars bonus is a nice, fat 100% deposit match up to $600! However, they don’t offer the full $600 Pokerstars bonus in an instant, lump sum amount. Every time you play, you acquire PokerStars bonus clearing FPPs, or Frequent Player Points. For every 170 FPPs you acquire, $10 of your bonus will be released. You can place this in your bank account or use it to keep playing at pokerstars, no strings attached.
It’s not exactly as simple as this, though. You are required to deposit $600 into your real-money account at pokerstars before you’re qualified for the $600 bonus. If you only put $300 into your account, you are only offered $300 of the pokerstars bonus money. Of course, if you then deposit an extra $500, your bonus eligibility will be at $600, which is the most per account you’re allowed to receive.
The last thing to discuss is the problem of a timeframe. You have a span of 90 days after your first cash deposit to make $600 worth of deposits. You have a six month deadline from your first deposit to collect the FPPs you need to complete the PokerStars bonus clearing. If you do the math, that’s 17 * 600 = 10200 FPPs in only six months in order to receive your PokerStars bonus code cash.
pokerstars has a FAQ for how they give FPPs – check it out here: pokerstars/vip/earn/ . It’s not easy to read, but for the newbie, just remember this:
* For MTT Poker tournaments, you collect 5.5 FPPs for each dollar in entry fees or 8 FPPs for each euro in entry fees.
* For cash games of 8 seats or more, your table collects 6 FPPs for every dollar or 8.5 FPPs per euro of “rake” paid per hand (the portion of money Poker Stars removes from the pot as payment), split evenly among the players dealt into the hand. For example, if nine players are are dealt cards and the rake collected is $3.00, the table collects 18 FPPs; split among nine people means each person collects 2 FPPs.
* For cash games of 7 or less seats, you get 5.5 FPPs for every dollar or 8 FPPs for every euro of rake paid, shared among the people involved.
* If you spend a lot of time playing, you can accumulate FPPs at double (after acquiring 3000 FPPs in a month), triple (100,000 in a year), or even quintuple (1,000,000 in a year) these rates.
If you accumulate 2 FPPs per hand, you still need to play 5100 hands if you want to receive the full $600, and you have to hope that you won’t lose more money than that along the way. However, if you love online poker, it’s an excellent way to get paid for doing something you love at one of the few legal us poker sites.
